然而，泰国更证实出现了第一宗新型冠状病毒（武汉肺炎）人传人病例！泰国卫生部在周五宣布最新又增加了5宗武汉肺炎病例！总共已经累积了确诊病例达到19宗！最严重的是，其中一宗新增病例是没有到过中国的德士司机！这可是泰国首宗境内传染病例！
泰国疾病控制局副局长Tanarak Pipat透露：“被感染的泰国人没有到过中国旅行的记录，他很可能是从生病的中国旅客身上受染。”
